About Set & Strike

Set and Strike Limited was formed by experienced BBC studio personnel, who trained and gained their experience while employed by the BBC at the Television Centre, BBC Theatre and Alexander Palace.

Set and Strike Limited is among the most well trained providers in studio services. Formed in October 1996, we were initially envisioned as a basic service facility to support the needs of the BBC studios in the scenic area.

Today Set and Strike Limited is capable of providing much more.

Hours of work:

Minimum: 8hours

Maximum: To studio/location requirement.

Agency to supply 24-hour coverage, seven days a week, including all public holidays.

Christmas period (Negotiable).

STUDIOS:

Set and striking of properties/scenery to and from studios and designated area.
Set dressing from plans, or under direct supervision.
Safe working in all aspects of prop/scenery areas.
Set and striking of audience rostras, fixed or mobile to include minor running repairs and sweeping clean.
Erecting stage areas and catwalks and dismantling.

Knowledge of studio base floor Paint and Fly counter weight systems.
